WorldClass Captions Installation Guide

1. Download and Install Snap Captions Plugin

If you haven’t already installed Orson Lord’s Snap Captions plugin, download it here: Download Snap Captions Plugin

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the plugin in your DaVinci Resolve environment.

2. Import Your "WorldClass Captions" Project File (.drp)

● Open DaVinci Resolve.

● Go to File > Import Project

● Locate your "WorldClass Captions.drp" file and import it. This file includes your Snap Captions setup, ensuring your custom captions are ready to use.

3. Install Your Custom Text+ Preset

● Navigate to your Snap Captions folder.

● Copy your custom Text+ preset into this folder so it’s available for editing or creating captions.

4. Install the Title Macro

Place the title macro file into the appropriate Fusion templates folder:

Windows: C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Fusion\Templates\Titles

macOS: /Applications/DaVinci Resolve/DaVinci Resolve.app/Contents/Libraries/Fusion/Templates/Titles

For custom installations, navigate to your DaVinci Resolve installation folder and then to Fusion > Templates > Titles, and paste the macro file there.

5. Download and Install Lulo Clean Bold Font

Your WorldClass Captions template uses Lulo Clean Bold. If you're an Adobe subscriber, you can download it here: Download Lulo Clean Bold

Install the font following Adobe's instructions so that your captions appear exactly as designed.

6. Restart DaVinci Resolve

After installing all files (plugin, project, preset, macro, and font), restart DaVinci Resolve to load all changes.

7. Verify Your Installation

Snap Captions & Template: Open your Snap Captions project or create a new caption sequence to verify that your "WorldClass Captions" template and custom Text+ preset are available.

Title Macro: In the Fusion page, add a new title from the templates to ensure your title macro is accessible.

Font Check: Confirm that the Lulo Clean Bold font is active in your captions.

By following these steps, you'll have your WorldClass Captions template fully integrated with Snap Captions and DaVinci Resolve, complete with the perfect font for that professional, viral look. Enjoy editing!
